Took the week to recover from baseball. Did quite a bit of embroidery. Got a COVID shot, and it hit me harder. Harder than before.

Made pumpkin loaf, pumpkin cookies. Had a visit with a good friend who lives in New Zealand and is temporarily visiting Toronto. My partner and I bought flight tickets to New Zealand, so we’ll be reunited in a short amount of time.

For the past few weeks, I’ve noticed a man standing at Christie Park admiring the view during my walk commute to work. This week I’ve confirmed he must make it part of his daily morning routine to stand and enjoy the moment. He’s there pretty consistently.

Watched three movies! For someone who struggles to watch movies, this is kind of unexpected. Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy - It was super fun and made me nostalgic for a time when the Bridget Jones movies were a favourite of mine. Frances Ha - People often talk about this movie and it was mentioned on the Criterion Closet, so I thought, why not? Not sure I appreciated it the way others have. Inside Out 2 - Again, fun and lovely, in the way Pixar movies usually are.

Started the second level of musical improv and had a blast. Amateur or not, it’s a blast.
